Author's Comments

For July, I'll be continuing my year-long haikuthon, but now with company. Same format, new stuff. Stamp by `RetroZombie and `jade-pandora
(S) for senryu, (H) for haiku.
For the July leg, I'll try to set a good example by doing more haiku. Plus, it's nice and sunny, and tropical countries are made purely of summer.

June 1 (S) -- Opening with "taking the lead" like a true, emasculated leader!
June 2 (H) -- A micro-ode to massive sunsets
June 3 (H) -- Chilling used to mean cooling. :V
June 4 (H) -- Another pun. Would prefer the subjects to be singular, but not grammatically possible.
June 5 (S) -- *Mahi-Fish must be rubbing off on me. A lyrical, literal image.
June 6 (H) -- Dedicated to my favorite song. And the weather.
June 7 (H) -- Shout out to June 1st.
June 8 (S) -- I want a stronger pause between lines 2 and 3, is a dash okay, despite not being grammatically relevant?
June 9 (H) -- Originally: hopping across the road // a child, after frog
June 10 (H) -- Is there a need to add anything before shadow?
June 11 (H) -- Is it "rear mirror" or "rear-view mirror", & does "fleeing" add anything substantial?
June 12 (H) -- Originally it was "baked" not "smoking".
June 13 (S) -- A modern satire of Hashimoto Takako's poem: freshly washed hair / drying in the spring air- / I think of him
June 14 (H) -- For *the-haiku-club's contest. Originally: in...out /swell and lull, breathing / the tides
June 15 (H) -- Inspired by ^StJoan's pervy tweet: sparrows are having sex on my bird feeder.
June 16 (H) -- Originally: riverside weeds / shadowed by clouds / reflected by water then, riverweeds / in cloud shadows / on the water. Decided to make the middle line the pivot point, rather than an down-up-down image.
June 17 (H) -- Love jasmines. The middle line carries unfortunate implications for a peaceful poem.
June 18 (H) -- Not too original, but I wanted a piece in question form.
June 19 (S) -- Is she drowning in a pool...of love? A Tom Swifty of sorts.
June 20 (H) -- So cute! :3
June 21 (H) -- I usually avoid typography, but it fits rather well here.
June 22 (H) -- Revisiting an old piece, Kitchen Harmony. By popular demand, the R-rated version has taken the place of: tongue of fire / licks the pot belly - / heat blush.
June 23 (S) -- Taking a stab at this Yugen thing I keep hearing about.
June 24 (H) -- Took a drive through Putrajaya again. Such picturesque desolation.
June 25 (H) -- Unfortunately, the doctor wasn't saying something dramatic as this happened.
June 26 (H) -- After a certain number of harvests, palm oil trees are cut down. Weird seeing cut fields between unharvested fields.
June 27 (S) -- I usually hate these meta-haiku, but after one particularly long drive gave inspiration to at least 5 poems, I gots ta give credit.
June 28 (H) -- Muslim's first prayer of the day is called Fajr, which also means "the break of dawn", as it is done as soon as the dawn breaks. Locally, the first prayer is called Subuh, which also means dawn.
June 29 (H) -- Not sure if I like this piece. Originally "hazy day - // at dawn // a sunset". Inspired by a hazy morning where the sun looked so red that it looked like a sunset.
June 30 (H) -- Again, aww, kitty :3
June 31 (H) -- As a closing piece, I wanted something with a "going home" theme, thus "evening commute".

:star: It's complete.

Beautiful! I'm writing my haiku right now....though mine is pretty bad compared to the brilliance of yours....

Wish I had your Haiku writing skills...:)

I am the entity of the end. I am the darkness, I am your shadow. Forgive me for existing, in your perfect world.

Fangirls/Boys make us look bad. Why don't they just shut up? Shoo, go away. You can like whatever you want, just use your brains. :P

Is it just me or this really has a word-play in it? I mean leading somebody on, I love witty haiku :D

Alucard: I had one man tell me he was a writer.
Integra: And what did you do?
A: I killed him quickly.
I: I'm sure the art community thanked you.
A: I like to consider myself a scathing critic. Non of my subjects survive my reviews.

:D

Interesting interpretation, I meant lead in the context of dancing. Always nice to see a different reading. :)

Mow da zeebas down like sheep.
Give dem to me nice and dead.
Me no happy ‘til me fed.”

:iconiscariot-priest:
You over exaggerate my skill, don't put your self down.

Well, I don't believe I'm over-exaggerating, but perhaps I am being to critical on myself....My family usually tell me to stop putting myself down....

:)

So, if you're taking the lead, are you going to humiliate us??

Of all of the things I need to say, all of these words are in my way.

You better buck up then, don't want to be beat by an old foggy like me, no? =p

I'm sure I'll feel more confident about halfway through. Maybe.

No need to thank me for "Faves" or Watches; however, if you feel the need, please do so in my Shoutbox.

Thank you.

It made me think of bondage! Not that I know anything about that (honestly).
